If you or someone you care for finds themself in need of advice, social care support, or in crisis for any reason, the Hertfordshire Mental Health Learning Disability and Autism Health Care Partnership has pulled together information from partner agencies that may be of assistance.

  • Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT)

    Primary care mental health service delivering talking therapies for mild to moderate mental health conditions including anxiety and depression. There are a number of online support options available including webinars, self-help videos and guides. 

    A GP can refer you, or you can refer yourself directly without a referral.

  • Online platform providing tailored therapy to those suffering from a range of mental health problems.

    Appointments are available seven days a week, 6:00 am - 11:00 pm.

  • Mind in Mid Herts: Social Support

    Telephone lines are open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday.

  • Hemel Hempstead Crisis House has four bed spaces that can be used if an overnight stay would help you to resolve your crisis. The beds are available (depending on capacity) seven days a week, 365 days a year.

    To make a self-referral you can call the service from 7pm, seven days a week to talk to a member of the team. (Professionals can refer individuals at any time, seven days a week, by calling to speak to a member of the team.)

  • If you need social care help, the Hertfordshire County Council Adult Social Care Services team will help establish what support you and/or your carer might benefit from.

  • Ask for ANI (Action Needed Immediately) codeword scheme to enable victims of domestic abuse to access immediate help from the police or other support services, from the safety of their local community pharmacy.

  • Crisis Cafés at Watford and Stevenage are open during the following hours: 7:00 pm to 1:00 am every evening, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

    Crisis Café in Ware is open 7:00 pm to 1:00 am on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
