A new company will run the Gardens and Jacobs Neurological Centre’s primary care services from Friday 1 September.
Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board, the NHS body responsible for commissioning the service, has announced that Stellar Healthcare will take over the service.
Inpatients at the centre have complex neurological conditions including acquired brain injury, spinal injury as well as neuroprogressive conditions and they receive rehabilitation and complex disability management services.
Gardens and Jacobs Neurological Centre is run by Elysium Healthcare and the centre has a good rating after its most recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
Stellar Healthcare will take over from Stanmore Medical Group. Patients and their families will see not change in the range and quality of care, which include GP services.
The contract will run until 2026.
